A monarch butterfly starts of as a Caterpillar than goes on to a chrysalis then terns into a butterfly. It has to wait two hours in till it can fly because its wings are to dry to fly. All monarch butterflies live four six or more mouths because the are cool-blooded, they cannot fly each day until there wings are warmed by sunshine. The suns warmth gives them energy. Monarch butterflies wings are covered with rows of thousands of tiny scales, Witch overlap each other like tiles on a roof. The things the adult butterfly eats are nectar of flowers. The monarch butterfly is the colorful herald of warm summer days. Nectar filled flowers and swan plants will attract this beautiful butterfly to the home garden to feed and continues its life cycle.
